Crock Pot Beef Stew

Yummy for cold winter days like today! This is cooking in my crock pot right now...

1 lb. stew meat
4 carrots sliced
4 large potatoes cut in chunks
1 bay leaf
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 8oz. can tomato sauce
1 bag frozen peas
1 onion

  1. Grease crockpot. Place beef cubes on bottom.
  2. Layer carrots & potatoes, then put bay leaf on top.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl & pour over vegetables.
  4. Cook on low for 10 hours or high for 5 hours.
*Haven't tried this, but you could use chicken & cream of chicken soup as a variation.
